The Friends of Malagiri Committee members held a quiz night on 13th March. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended as well as some donations from friends and supporters, £1590 was raised. This is an impressive amount and is almost enough to cover the cost of the teachers’ salaries for three months. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who made donations and supported this event.
The Malagiri school continues to thrive. This month, the children have been busy clearing litter from Bibhuti Park. It is wonderful to see that they are making such a contribution to the local environment and that they were willing and eager to undertake a lengthy walk before they could carry out the task!

Each month, the whole school participates in a spelling competition and whenever possible, this event is held outside. Spellings alternate between both the English and Nepali languages. It would be interesting to know if children in the UK would find this activity as exciting and enjoyable as the Malagiri pupils do!
